Fall

Mishka
It's getting to be that time of year again when it gets dark before dinner time and I wake up to windows fogged over because it's so cold. The only good, or funny thing, about my windows being fogged over is watching the kitties get overly upset about not being able to see outside. They sit at the window, waiting forever, in hopes that they will be able to bird watch with out using their face as a wash cloth.

I love fall, but this whole being 60 degrees inside and being dark makes me so tired. It used to bug me but now I almost can't stand it considering I don't sleep at night anymore. Ever since I stopped working, Elizabeth has become overly attached and I can't lay her down by herself ( while she's sleeping) without her freaking out. She literally HAS to sleep ON me, or Frank. Frank rarely lets her sleep on him and I let him get away with it since he has to get up for work and I've been staying home for the main purpose of keeping Liz comfortable and raising her with good moral values. Ha ha ha. With that being said, I've decided to take up a job, 1 day a week, with Sophie as an office assistant. Not only will I have a little extra cash but I think it will be a good "break" from home and Liz. I tried going back to work when Bean was 2 months old. I worked for about 2 1/2 months and it didn't work out. Not only did I not get to see Liz as much as wanted, but I was, still am, nursing and nursing and working really don't work out unless you have baby with you. Unless your one of those unbelievably lucky parents whose child takes both boob and bottle. Lucky bitches.
So, I start tomorrow and it will be the first time I'm away from Bean for more than 4 hours in about a month. We left her back in September to go to a wedding and of course I missed her the whole time. I'm staying optimistic though. Sophie says it's pretty laid back there and it's only 1 day a week. Maybe it will help both Bean AND myself to learn to be away from each other for a little while and neither one of us will die. Ha ha!

Liz & I from our "walk" yesterday! We went to my parents house, lol.

The backyard and bit of my home.  The weather was so neat today!

9 Months and counting

Dear Blogging Friends,                                                                                       Sept. 30th, 2012

It's the 30th. That means Elizabeth was 9 months old yesterday. I never thought I'd see the day when I'd be telling people I have a 9 month old. I don't know why, but for some reason 9 months seems so old. Old baby stage. We ( My Mama and I) took her to the doctor on Friday for a 9 month old check-up/ flu shot. Yes, still living a block away from my parents, so nice to have someone drive us to town when you only have one vehicle for the time being. Anyways, she's now 17 pounds and 6 ounces. 17 freaking pounds. For those of you who don't really keep up with my blog, Bean was born 5 pounds 13 ounces; so 17 pounds is ridiculous! SHES HUGE! 26 1/2 inches long, I forget how big her head is. The nurses write down everything on a piece of a paper for you but I have it stashed away in her bebe book so I remember to record it... which I rarely remember to do anyways. I always thought I'd be one of those Mom's who record each and every little thing, so I was stoked when my oldest sister got me her a Baby Book to do such things. Now it sits in her shelf and a month after she's done something "remarkable" I remember to run and record some stuff. By then my memory of the fact is pretty non- existent and I'm probably writing down nonsense, ha!

10:20am:
Elizabeth's currently sitting in her Baby Einstein "Sit 'n' Play, yelling at me. Poor thing has a horrible cold. I don't know if it's the flu shot...are flu shots supposed to make you sick??? She was so sick the day after she got hers. I've been running to her aid with a 'suck up snot' tool every 5 minutes so she can breath. Must be nice. I wish I was a baby again.
About 20 weeks old here. Playing in her Sit N Play for the first time!

Oct. 1st, 2012
9:25AM
I really tried to come back and write a little more yesterday... obviously that didn't happen. I was reading over what I wrote and started thinking about something I found online while I was pregnant.

That, friends, is a "Nasal Aspirator". If you look at the picture closely, the Mama is using her MOUTH to suck out the snot. I don't know about you but I defiantly don't have the balls to even wanna try that. I'm sure there's some sort of filter to save you from the mounds of mucus headed to your mouth while your sucking but yuck..still. I can see how something that freaking disgusting could be so appealing though after having a baby with an endless amount of snot coming out of her nose for the past 3 days.

I woke up to being peed on this morning. It's not that her diaper was so full that there was no where for it to go, which has happened before. It was that her diaper happened to be just perfect that pee would go all over myself and the bed.

Mama problemz.

Vote for Bean!

Before I start rambling on, please take a moment to click on the following link and vote for my Elizabeth!

Vote for Bean!

If she gets enough votes, she could win a ridiculous amount of money for college. She would have no excuse NOT to go. You can vote once, every day, for next 19 days. Please! Maybe bookmark the Gerber site so you don't forget. ;)

I'm aware the picture isn't that of quality but Frank entered her with out telling me. Personally, I would of chosen one of the following:
The "Grand Pooh Bah".

Bean's "Blue steal".

There's likely 50+ more I'd choose from so I'm not going to post them all.

I'm currently watching the news. " The worlds biggest Stir Fry." For realz guys? Can't find anything of more importance? Don't get me wrong, I like stir fry, so nomz, but geeze. I'm so tired of watching crap. Frank and I down-sized our cable a few months back. I've been living it up on Netflix since we only get channels 18 and under. That means during the afternoon, I get to watch things ( if I don't turn on Netflix) like Maury, Jerry Springer and shit. It's all shit.

Yesterday, I went and picked blackberries with Mom. I haven't picked berries in forever. Picking berries sums up about 75% of my childhood. I grew up in Alger and was at my Gramma's who had a huge flower farm with tons of berries and delicious goodies. You'd think since I've been around berries so much I've probably made a pie or two but that's not the case. I actually completed my first blackberry pie yesterday! So much easier than I thought it would going to be. I have yet to try it... I've been waiting for Frank ( who's been working non stop, poor guy) so we can try it together.
I'm not much of a baker... I think I'll be forced into it more now that I'm a Mama now.

Mama status FTW!

I've been so close to deleting my facebook. I'm so tired of peoples crap. I keep reading posts or pictures that say things like " Awesome women have curves and tattoos!", " Healthy is the new skinny!" When did it become okay to say crap like that? Everyone is their own. I'm awesome, I don't have curves or any tattoos. I'm healthy, I don't have any curves. You don't see me posting shit like " SKINNY PEOPLE ARE SO AWESOME AND FAT PEOPLE SUCK AND BLAH BLAH BLAH" I didn't get to choose the way my body looks just like someone who is 100 pounds heavier than me didn't get to choose either ( for the most part.)

Facebook has taught me that everyone is stupid and self-centered.

Craftz!

As a new "Mama" ( I used quotations with Mama because apparently the correct spelling is M-o-m-m-a, but every time I see it spelled that way I pronounce it "Moe-ma", which sounds ridiculous to me..so MAma it is!) I find myself being judged for the weirdest things. The other day, Frank and I were at PetSmart for the furry kidz and had put Elizabeth in the cart and buckled her up. She had just woken up so was a little wobbly but fine none the less. Yes, you guys, my now EIGHTH MONTH OLD ( yesterday actually!) is a pro at sitting up now, can take steps ( with help, of course) and is trying her hardest to crawl. ( She's a little behind in the crawling department but that was expected since she isn't much of a "tummy-time" lady.) I spend literally every second with her so I know, very well, whether if she is capable of sitting up in a store cart or not; but some 30something year old woman with 3 kids leaving the store just had  to make a comment.

" Oh! She is pretty little, are you sure she's going to be able to sit up in there??!"

Really lady? Freaking, really? Do seriously think we'd put our child in a store cart if she wasn't capable of sitting up on her own?

Frank, when shopping alone with Bean, apparently gets these comments a lot. That was the only one I've ever received, besides the first time we took Bean out to the grocery store when she was a month old and was told to put more clothes on her. SO. ANNOYING. She had THREE layers on and 2 blankets. I was ready to smack the lady. Nothing irritates me more than someone who thinks they can parent someones else's child better...and a lot of things irritate me. What makes them think they're SO much better at taking care of MY child? I know her better than anyone. People like that have a mentality that they're better than everyone and feel the need to share their "wisdom" to make the world a better place.

Okay. Done ranting...for now. I think.

I took this picture using my new iPhone 2 days ago.
It's almost fall! I'm so excited. I'm so one of those people that wish it was a different season every year. During the winter, all I can think of is how nice the sun would be, chilling in the grass with Sven and Mishka, THE BEACH. During the summer my thought process is " OMG! CHRISTMAS!!!!! CHRISTMAS CRAFTS!" Except for right now, it's the end of August and all I can think of is how cute Elizabeth is going to be when we can take her to the pumpkin patch and have her sit on pumpkins and take 45379389 photos.

Speaking of crafts and fall...and crafts. My frand Hannah got me addicted to this "App" off Facebook ( of course) called Pinterest. It's basically a crafters dream. So many ideas! I've gone completely nuts over most the ideas on the site and have vowed that I will finish all that I've stuck on "my board" called " Want to try!" The sad thing is, most of them are actually doable and I probably won't finish all of them, or as much as I'd like to. I'm going to put in a valiant effort though. I've already completed two! Which is awesome for myself considering I have an ACTUALLY attached eight month old on me 95% of the time I'm awake AND asleep.
This is one project that I finished. Obviously not in this picture but I keepz ma make-up tools in it!
These are rock frandz. Frand Hannah found the idea on the internets, cough cough, Pinterest. I put them in Bean's room.

So. I'm really hoping I'll be able to make more time for myself and do these crafts. I know all you Mama's out there are laughing at me but when there's a will there's a way! Bahahaha. Plus, Bean's been getting a whole lot better about "being by herself". OH! She eats food now too. Like, actual bites of delicious bebe foodz. Organic of course. Only my bebe would know the difference between regular food and organic.

Blank

Dear friends,                                                                                                                            8/14/2012

Another couple weeks has gone by...can't say much has happened that is super exciting.

Bean is currently cutting 2 ( yes TWO) teeth, so sleeping has basically been non- existent for the both of us.

Frank and I celebrated our first anniversary as a married couple yesterday.

I finally cancelled my account with Bank of America.

Frank came home with a play pen for Bean. It plays music and has a freaking light on it. I would of been happy with just some gates but, whatever. She actually plays in it! Holla!

We've been looking for new places to live/buy in the Stanwood/Camano area. Any of you reading, if you see a good deal, let me know!
I'm so tired of going around the house with a bottle of bleach chasing the mold. It's ridiculous!

Frank finally finished my flower/veggie box for the back yard. Now it's August. Kind of late to plant anything.  I could put already bloomed flowers I suppose.

I cleaned out Bean's closet of clothes she doesn't wear anymore and brought them to Sprouts in Mt. Vernon. We now have $49 store credit there. So much clooooooothes.

OH! and our house in infested with fleas! It's terrible. We bombed/ sprayed everything! THEY'RE STILL HERE. I gotta say, the kittehs are to blame. They're outside/indoor kitties so... yeah. Sigh. Looking forward to fall.

....

:)
I have nothing else to say so here's some pictures of Elizabeth!
Shopping with Frank at Ace.

Picking flowers with Mama!

Bean's first time in a swing.

Joo-lie

Hello blogging frandz! You'd think since I stay at home for 95% of the time, I'd have time to write but this whole bebe thing really keeps you busy. Kudos to all you mama's out there.

I had plans to write about this whole road trip thing I did this month but I really don't feel up to it. Basically, the fam and I went to go see the Redwoods in California and stopped in Oregon along the way there and back. We had a good time but I don't think I have to say/type this when saying camping with a bebe is hard. Camping sober is hard. It was a really neat experience though and I'm glad I saw the Redwoods. They're huge. Huge isn't even a big enough word for them.
To the left is Dad, Frank & Bean, Mom, Hannah and Cleo poking her head in from the right. Cleo is my baby cousin. Not really a bebe, 12 years old. The picture is right  before we decided to take a hike - the tree was in the super lame campsite we decided to settle in at. The hike, I thought, I was 11 miles. We had an entire argument for 2 days about how long it was and had agreed upon 11. Now Dad is telling everyone it was 8, and Mom is saying it was 10. Whatever. I'm going to say it was 11 and sound like a badass.
Plus side to trip - I got 489745975978 cute pictures of Bean!

Elizabeth was 30 weeks old yesterday, in 2 days she will be 7 months old. Preeeeetty crazay. We started her on "solid" foodz other than just rice cereal this month. So far she likes bananas and that is it. My Dad tried giving her ONE grain of rice, figuring she would like it on account of the rice cereal but the minute that tiny little grain hit her tongue her face turned from " OMG FOODZ?!" to " o.m.g. wtf is this Papa?" and started to gag and spit it out. My baby gagged from the taste of rice. Rice doesn't taste like anything. Sigh. She is most definitely my child. I like rice, but grew up on top raumen so I'm pretty picky. Frank on the other hand will inhale anything, including "balut". If you don't know what that is, google it, if you dare.

Bean also has a bit of a vocabulary now. She can currently say " Mama, Mom, Amom, Ada, Papa, Apa,  and Baba". Of course, she only says these on her own terms, if you ask her to she will just laugh at you. Anything that has to do with "Mom" as well is only spoken when she is upset. Go figure.
The video was taken at the condo we stayed at in Newport. We left the diapers in the Jeep and Frank had to run down to get them. Elizabeth obviously wasn't being a patient one - I wouldn't be either if I had soiled myself.  I kind wish we had stayed there the whole week. It was super nice, much better than expected.

At our room in the condo.

Here's an LOLcat picture to mix thingz up.

Totally me when we had cable. Fluffy, white and holding onto the remote for dear life yelling at the tube.

Potato incident of 2012

It's 9:48am, Thursday the 19th of July. I woke up today to sun shining through my curtains and thoughts of a great breakfast involving a "potato patty" aka potato pancake, made from last nights mashed potatoes and bacon wrapped chicken. For those who don't know me, I'm a big potato fan, if you haven't guessed this already. Potato patties are my favorite breakfast food. Their fried mashed potato patties covered in butter. So. good.

I detached Elizabeth from my boob. ( She's been using my warlocks as a pacifier lately) Threw on some pants, as it was surprisingly a little chilly in the house today, put some socks on Bean and made my way to the kitchen. I took a pan out and turned the stove on to get it ready for potato cookin'. Opened the fridge where I thought would be a cute little tupper ware container filled with delicious goodness.

Nothing.

Potatoes = Gone.
I then remembered Frank. Frank. That great husband of mine. That husband of mine who mentioned to me last night at dinner that he was making extra chickens to bring to work today for lunch. He must of taken the potatoes to make a full meal out of it. My breakfast potatoes. My potatoes.

You can only imagine how devastated I was considering as of right meow our cupboards only consist of the following:

- 4 things of chicken Top Raumen.
- 2 things of beef Top Raumen.
- 2 bags of Flaming Hot Cheetos. ( I hate regular Cheetos)
- Half a bag of marshmallows
- Oatmeal.

Oh and Bean's rice cereal/ bebe food which if you ask me would be really weird if I included that in a list of food I bought for myself to eat.
Our fridge also has a big bag of  "Cutie" oranges which taste like sausages from our current camping trip.

I won't be eating those.

I googled this. My potatoes never look this fancy but taste most excellent none the less.

It's now Sunday...the 22nd. Sigh. So much for me actually finishing blogs "on time". We went and got more food so I am no longer dying of nutrition. As a nursing Mama, having food is pretty essential at this point. About 6 more months and I'll no longer have to be sober! Do you realize I have been sober ( from everything ) since I found I was pregnant? Other than Tyler's 21st birthday - I had ONE drink and of course felt completely guilty about it. I'm aware I'm "aloud" to have a drink here and there but I really don't see the point in having A drink unless I plan to get at least a little tipsy. Of course, since I'm so "small" and hadn't drank any alcohol in about a year at that point, that one drink gave me a nice warm buzz which I fully enjoyed until I got home. Frank and I's first year anniversary is coming up, so I might enjoy a glass of wine then too. We'll see.

Sven just spilt his water bowl. You can tell this house we're living in currently isn't built well. At all. Every time something spills, such as Sven's water, it always leaks in one direction and I have to hurry up to catch it before it starts to pool onto the carpet. So ready to move. As much as I love this home, the view is fantastic and being close to Mom & Dad is great, I can't stand how poorly everything is put together. I'd also really, REALLY enjoy a bathtub and bathroom that is separate from the laundry room. I have to keep repeating to myself, " At least there's a washer and dryer".

This has been my desktop image for the past year.
